“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14
As we continue to enter into a brand new year, one of the things that we recognise as a church is the importance and power of prayer.
The Bible tells us that when we set our hearts humbly to seek God, He hears our prayers and He heals us. Because of His faithfulness and mercy, there is restoration not only for us personally, but also for the land that we are in as we stand in the gap and intercede for others.
Over January, we were also encouraged to believe for the dreams that God has put inside of us; dreams that will bring great glory to Him, ones which will make an impact to the world around us, and those that God has uniquely wired us for. The fulfilment of these dreams will take work and faith, but also prayer.
“Dreams and prayer go hand-in-hand.”
As a church, we want to therefore dedicate the first week of February to seek God together; to pray for our city, our church, our families and God’s Kingdom to be established in this time and in our lives. We would encourage you to set aside time to fast and pray with us, and would also like to encourage you to come along to our corporate prayer meetings at the Apex this week.
